Within the accounting week period, the percentage of the issues not reported by the First National TV Channel increased compared to the previous week. Yet, it remains within a general tendency. At the same time, almost no serious violations of news presentation standards were detected.

2 June (Monday) and the events of Sunday, 1 June:

On Monday First National informed of the following events in Donetsk region. A third of ‘Donbas’ battalion soldiers headed by Semenchenko joined the National Guard and are being trained nearby Kyiv. ‘Donbas’ battalion gathered four buses of volunteers at Maidan. ‘Donbas’ and ‘Vechirniy Donetsk’ newspapers stopped publications due to DNR terrorists’ requests to change their editorial policy. Armed gunmen kidnapped the editors-in-chief of two Ukrainian newspapers and kept them in Regional State Administration, but later they set them free. A Luhansk border guard detachment was attacked by terrorists. Seven Ukrainian military were wounded (four of them seriously) in the course of a fight near Luhansk border guard detachment. An explosion at Luhansk Regional State Administration was caused by a rocket launched from an SBU administration building captured by gunmen (here is unreliable reference to UNN – Ukraine’s National News site). After the explosion occurred at Luhansk Regional State Administration, the gunmen blamed the Ukrainian military for an air strike. Luhansk Ministry of Internal Affairs Main Office: from the SBU administration building, the terrorists aimed at a Ukrainian air fighter in the sky, however, the rocket reacted to the nearest thermal target – a conditioner on the window of Luhansk Regional State Administration. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, five people died. According to the Ministry of Health Local Dept, two people were killed. The number of the injured is unknown.

The following events in the region were not reported. In Torez terrorists blew up the local SBU office. In Volnovaha, terrorists kidnapped a local council member. Terrorists took the heads of Amvrosiyevskiy and Torezskiy Town Militia Divisions as hostages. One person died, one was wounded as a result of an assault on the District Militia Department in the town of Shakhtarsk, Donetsk region. In Slovyansk, terrorists mined several enterprises – Seleznyov. In Slovyansk, gunmen are attempting to break through Ukrainian block-posts. In Mariupol, a new ‘people’s mayor’ was elected. In Luhansk, terrorists attacked two military divisions and captured their weapons. In Luhansk, border guards have been fighting off terrorist attacks for fourteen hours without any reinforcement, some fighters are wounded. Terrorists who are attacking the Luhansk border guard detachment, are using civilians as a ‘live shield’ – State Border Service. Anti-Terrorist Centre: Luhansk Regional State Administration was blown up from the inside. In Luhansk, two terrorist mortar batteries were destroyed by aviation. Ukrainian fighters cannot fire at terrorists because the latter hide in residential blocks in Luhansk.

As for the events in other regions the following was reported. It has been a month since people were killed in the Trade Union Building in Odesa. 13 people have been detained, about forty suspects are under house arrest – Мinistry of Internal Affairs. In Kharkiv, a criminal gang was detained that can be involved in the attempt on Kernes’ life – Ministry of Internal Affairs Regional Dept. Kernes is planning to return to Kharkiv after his treatment in Israel is over – Kharkiv City Council. In Mykolayiv, Ukrainian activists broke a meeting of Russia supporters who were campaigning against the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO).

The following was not reported. In Kharkiv, a Euromaidan activist procession took place in the city centre sporting a 100-meter long Ukrainian flag. 63 antimaidan activists will be tried for capturing the Regional State Administration building in Kharkiv – the Prosecutor’s Office. In Sumy, a cycle race for the unity of Ukraine was set up. The death certificates of the Rivne soldiers who were killed at Volnovaha say that the guys died in the street of the wounds caused by an attack to kill or to inflict bodily injuries – Kirillov, Head of Rivne Regional State Administration. He addressed the PM and the President. ‘Mykolayivskiy Opir’ radical organization leader, who was detained by lawmen, confessed: he was recruited by Russian special forces. In Dnipropetrovsk region, new battalions, ‘Luhansk’ and ‘Artemivsk’, are being formed. They will report to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

As for the events in Crimea, the channel reported the following. Crimean occupants stole 300 kg of gold from the ‘Oschadbank’ vault – Petrenko. The Ministry of Justice proposes the Prosecutor General’s Office to arrest the Russian state property due to the occupation of Crimea. In Crimea, the assets of 700 million UAH and 4 million UAH in cash were withdrawn from the National Bank of Ukraine’s balance. In a Yalta school, graduates silenced the Russian hymn with the Ukrainian one at the ‘last bell’ celebration. The headmaster of the school where the children sang the Ukrainian hymn was summoned to the Crimean department of education. She is about to be fired. The graduates’ class teacher was made to write an explanatory note.

The following was not mentioned. At Perevalne in Crimea, the Russian Cossacks attacked the churchgoers of a Kyiv patriarchite church. The occupied Crimea has been totally transferred to Russian rouble currency. In the occupied Crimea, Russia is introducing a special control of the products brought in at railway stations. Putin ordered ‘liberation and annexation of Crimea’ be included in the Russian history textbooks.

As for the reactions and actions of the Ukrainian authorities, the channel mentioned the following. Тurchinov: in several towns in the east of Ukraine, the accounting centres of the treasury office have been ruined, so it is impossible to pay out pensions there. The Ministry of Defence: ATO fighters are provided with everything needed. All the supply batches are under the control of a number of law institutions therefore the military think corruption is impossible there. Ukraine has drawn up a claim to Stockhom arbitration court.

The following was not reported. The National Guard second battalion went on their fighting posts around Slovyansk – Parubiy. The Russian gunmen’s actions in Ukraine caused the deaths of 122 people – the Prosecutor General’s Office. The Prosecutor General’s Office: the lawsuits initiated by the Investigation Committee of the RF against the Ukrainian military will have no legal operations. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs blamed Russia for exporting terrorism into Ukraine and made a protest in this connection.

As for the foreign reactions to Ukrainian events the channel informed of the following. In Brussels. representatives of Ukraine and Russia, assisted by the EU, are conducting the fourth and the last round of negotiations as for the Russian gas price for Ukraine. The Russian side has shifted a prepayment term one week. Miller: the sides agreed not to go to court before 9 June.

The following was not reported. The Pope prayed for the peace in Ukraine. Russia headed the UN Security Council as scheduled. Russia drew up a draft of a resolution to be submitted to the UN Security Council, where it is required to stop ATO in Ukraine and start negotiations. NATO Secretary General: Russia does not act on its promises, threatens its neighbours and uses force against them. Pentagon condemned the attack on Luhansk border guard detachment and the participation of Russia in it. Pentagon decided to provide an 18-million USD military support for Ukraine. This will include clothes and, maybe, some technical devices. Russian TV accused biathlonist Pidhrushna of doing a ‘side job’ as a sniper in Slovyansk.

As for other events of the day the channel reported the following. The Central Election Committee announced Poroshenko President of Ukraine. The fifth Ukrainian President inauguration will probably take place on Saturday, 7 June. ‘Fatherland’ party calls for the protection of civilians in the east and insists upon rendering a temporary migrant status to escapists. ‘Svoboda’ party proposes to set up a goodwill evacuation of civilians from the hostilities zone, close the borders with Russia, introduce visas for Russian citizens. Tyahnybok: the Parliament should discuss the question of the possible introduction of the martial law state in Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The coalition is preparing a draft law that will enable early parliamentary elections. Party of the Regions is against the early parliamentary elections. Yefremov: the elections cannot take place until the conflict in the east is settled. The Ministry of Education reports that the Ukrainian schoolchildren are totally provided with textbooks and announces war on corruption.

The channel did not mention the following. According to the updated data of Kyiv Okruzhkon (District Committee), DemAlliance party will get into Kyiv City Council. Several thousand people gathered at Maidan for a traditional Sunday come-together. The state debt of Ukraine decreased 676 million USD in April. The Prosecutor’s Office brought a criminal lawsuit against Babushkin, former Chief Architect of Kyiv, for the raider seizure of a business centre in Pechersk District. ‘Forum’ bank clients picketed the Cabinet of Ministers. In Ukraine, electricity fares for private persons went up: depending on the consumption volume, the fare grew 10 to 40%. Former head of Ukrsotsbank, Tymonkin, who is believed to be involved with Kurchenko, is announced wanted – Ministry of Internal Affairs. National Bank limits: maximum 150 thou UAH can be withdrawn from a card or deposit account daily, or 15 thou UAH in foreign currency equivalent.

3 June (Tuesday):

On Tuesday, the channel reported the following events in Donetsk region. ATO forces have completed the clean-up of the northern part of Donetsk region – Тurchinov. The Ukrainian army, after several fights, entered Krasniy Lyman. Seleznyov: an ambush of terrorists who attacked a pack of Ukrainian military was destroyed at Slovyansk. State Border Service: as a result of an attack and fight between separatists and Luhansk border guards nine terrorists are killed, twenty-eight wounded, eight border guards are wounded. In Lysychansk, a single-track railway bridge was blown up.

The following events in the region were not reported. A terrorist shot down a Makiyivka resident in his house’s yard. Six DNR terrorists on a car got blown up by a mine in Kramatorsk. In a fight at Krasniy Lyman, terrorists shot down an ATO helicopter. In Donetsk region, over 300 gunmen have been killed – ATO spokesperson. DNR gunmen took up ‘appropriating’ people’s property and demand money from local business people. Donetsk Mayor: due to DNR gangster actions, small businesses leave the city, café’s and hotels close up. Because of the terrorists, 15 thousand refugees left Donetsk. One military was killed, 13 wounded in the aftermath of the shooting by terrorists of an ATO motorcade at Slovyansk. At Slovyansk, several terrorist block-posts were destroyed by ATO forces – Аvakov. In Slovyansk, the gunmen will not set free the refugees who want to leave the town. The Prosecutor General’s Office: a rocket from a portable air-craft rocket facility could be a cause of an explosion at Luhansk Regional State Administration.

As for the events in other regions the following was mentioned. In Kharkiv, started the court hearing of antimaidan participants’ cases. They are accused of mass unrests while the Regional State Administration was being seized on the early morning of 8 April. ‘Azov’ battalion volunteers leave from Kyiv for the south of Donetsk region to supervise the sea border.

As for the events in Crimea the following was not mentioned. In Crimea, local ‘samooborona’ detained and tortured a journalist and a cinema director. Three more ships of the Ukrainian navy have been led out of the occupied Crimea. The Prosecutor General’s Office accused Yanukovich of promoting the Crimean occupation.

As for the reactions of Ukrainian authorities to the events the following was mentioned. Head of State Border Service: the situation at the Ukrainian-Russian border is extremely complicated. Yatsenyuk: Ukraine will file a claim against Russia to Stockholm arbitration court, unless ‘Naftogaz’ and ‘Gazprom’ settle a compromise price. Yatsenyuk called on the EU to block the ‘Southern flow’ gas pipeline which is being built in cooperation with Russia. Yatsenyuk: gas negotiation process proposed by Russia can be a means of holding up things. Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Russia was invited to the inauguration of the President at the level of a charge d’affaires of Ukraine.

The following reactions were not mentioned by the channel. Ukraine filed two claims against Russia to the European court for the occupation of Crimea – Yatsenyuk. On the Russian territory new detachments of gunmen are being formed to be dispatched to Ukraine – ATO headquarters. A half of tax payments are underpaid by Donetsk and Luhansk – Yatsenyuk. Prosecutor General: 220 people have been held hostages in Donetsk region since armed gunmen started their operations there. The Prosecutor General’s Office: the annexation of Crimea was prepared by Yanukovich, Yakimenko, Zakharchenko and others. The Prosecutor General’s Office: in the confrontation in the east over 120 civilians and almost 60 military men were killed. Yatsenyuk: Russia stole ‘Chornomornaftogaz’ and two billion m3 of the Ukrainian gas stored in Crimea. The Prosecutor General’s Office brought a criminal lawsuit against Yanukovich’s son’s company for 10 million UAH tax evasion.

As for the foreign reactions the following was reported. Kupriyanov, ‘Gazprom’ spokesperson: the first step must be paying off the Ukraine’s debt which both sides have no doubts about. Bulgarian Minister of Economics and Energetics: neither Bulgaria, nor any other country whose territory the ‘Southern Flow’ will cross is to become a subject to Russian-Ukrainian conflict. Polish PM: the gas dependence upon Russia can be decreased through finding new sources of energy and exporting shale gas to the world’s market. Poland proposes  to set up an alliance that would assist the EU countries in case problems with energy resources arise. The European Commission is planning to reduce the energetic dependence on Russia – it is proposed to decrease the consumption of energy by 20% in the course of five years. Barroso: we need to secure the EU energetic safety in respect to gas supplies and reduce the number of member states that depend on one supplier. Оbama called on the Russian authorities to start a dialogue with Kyiv and persuade the armed separatists to stop terrorizing Ukrainian troops, set the captured buildings free and lay down arms. Оbama: Russia will pay a high price if provocations go on. If necessary, new sanctions will be introduced. Оbama urged to expand the US military presence in Eastern Europe. Оbama urged the Russian president to have a meeting with Poroshenko in Normandy. Кomorowski: Poland’s and the whole region’s safety depends on the cooperation with and the presence of the US armed forces on our territory.

The following was not reported. OSCE does not confirm the information that a rocket from an aircraft hit the Luhansk Regional State Administration building. The European Commission urged Bulgaria to stop the construction of the ‘Southern Flow’ gas pipiline. Оbama: Ukraine must not sacrifice its sovereignty for the sake of good relations with Russia. NATO urged Russia to return Crimea to Ukraine.

Among other issues the following was reported. The Parliament revoked Tsaryov’s MP inviolability. The Parliament agreed to have Tsaryov arrested for separatism. The Prosecutor General: a proposal was submitted to the Parliament to revoke Oliynyk’s and Kalyetnyk’s MP inviolability right. The National Defence Headquarters in Dnipropetrovsk region announced they will pay 500 thousand USD to the person who will bring Tsaryov to lawmen. Avtomaidan activists and civil organizations ‘Pride and Freedom’ of Dnipropetrovsk want to accommodate refugees from eastern Ukraine in Tsaryov’s mansion. Kyiv City Election Commission announced Klichko winner of city mayor elections. His inauguration will take place at the honourary session of the parliament. 300 MPs voted for this decision. The newly elected Ukrainian President will meet the US president in Warsaw. The parliament prohibited banks to take away accommodations in case currency loans are not repaid.

The following events were not reported. American nuclear power will reduce the dependence of Ukraine on the RF - Yatsenyuk. The Prosecutor General’s Office is checking Yefromov’s involvement in separatism. The Parliament did not support a draft law on the merging of two positions: the Mayor of Kyiv anf Head of Kyiv Regional State Administration. 20 MPs left the Party of Regions group in the Parliament.

4 June (Wedenesday):

As for the events in Donetsk region on this day the First National reported the following. Luhansk border guard detachment has been taken over by terrorists – there is a video of the destroyed unit on the internet. The Ukrainian fighters were led out of the unit. The State Border Service site says that was the way to save the military’s lives.

The following was not reported. The troops in Donetsk region received the rations provided by the USA. The gunmen took two employees of Dmytrivska border service as hostages in Donetsk region. In Makiyivka terrorists shot down a civilian in his own car from firearms. In Donetsk region terrorists shot down a border post Marynivka. In Krasniy Lyman, as a result of shooting, a hospital surgeon got a serious wound in the head. In Shakhtarsk DNR terrorists shot down a young woman who had not stopped her car at the block-post. 15 thousand refugees left Donetsk region for other regions of Ukraine in the last week. In Donetsk, terrorists started to check passports at railway stations and in dormitories. Donetsk airport will be closed till the end of June. In Slovyansk a significant terrorist ammunition warehouse has been detsryed by ATO forces – Seleznyov. Terrorists took a deputy prosecutor of Slovyansk interregional prosecutor’s office as a hostage. The gunmen left the hospital they had captured in Slovyansk and are trying to break out of the encirclement. Slovyansk is left without centralized water supply due to the damage of the central water pump station as a result of hostilities. Ukrainian aviation did not carry out any military tasks as for shooting at Luhansk Regional State Administration – Seleznyov. In Chervoniy Luch, Luhansk region, terrorists captured a tax administration building. Luhansk gunmen captured a militia military unit.

As for the events in other regions the channel only informed of the fact that Kurhanskiy, the leader of pro-Russian organization ‘Mykolayivskiy opir’ got a 5 year suspended sentence for the infringement upon the integrity of the Ukrainian territory.

As for the events in Crimea the following was not reported. Occupants in Crimea cancelled the elections of mayors. «Rosturizm» sends out telegrams to Russian state companies proposing to send their employees to have a rest in Crimea at the companies’ own expense. The occupational authorities accused a Crimean tatar newspaper of ‘extremism’ because its journalists refer to Crimea as a ‘temporarily occupied territory’.

As for the reactions of Ukrainian authorities the following was reported. In Slovyansk, Turchinov stated about the start of the eastern Ukrainian border blocking in the central part of Luhansk- and in the south of Donetsk regions. Russian Cossacks are involved into the kidnapping of the representatives of OSCE monitoring mission in the east of Ukraine on 29 May – SBU. SBU accuses the ataman of ‘Velyke viysko donske’ union of Cossack troops of having given orders to kill civilians. The National Security Council is to analyse the reasonability of the martial law introduction in Donetsk and Luhansk regions – Turchinov. Poroshenko discussed the crisis in the east of Ukraine with the heads of the USA, Poland, France, and Canada. Poroshenko: the Ukrainian system of government will be decentralized based on the Polish model. The National Guard and the Ukrainian Army will get new military equipment. Minister of Social Policy: the government does not owe anything to social insurance funds. The state has totally settled its sick leave payments and payoffs to the unemployed. Yatsenyuk: in the last month we failed to collect 422 million UAH from Luhansk and Donetsk regions. At the same time, all the social payoffs are effected in full scope. Ministry of Education: Luhansk and Donetsk regions graduates will be able to sign up for an extra exam session before 15 June.

The following was not reported. Terrorists set up their headquarters at kindergartens, hospitals and recreation houses – ATO press officer. State Border Service refutes accusations of the border guards  who allegedly took bribes for letting in automobiles with gunmen. A military field hospital has been set up not far from the ATO zone. SBU detained a person who set up the supplying of 7 trucks of weapons and ammunition from Russia to Donbas terrorists. State Border Service: the information about thousands of refugees from Ukraine who supposedly seek asylum in Rostov region in Russia is not truthful.

As for foreign reactions to Ukrainian events the channel reported the following. In Rostov region the local authorities refuse to officially acknowledge that the bodies of Russian soldiers who were killed in the assault of Donetsk airport are being brought there. Оbama promised to provide the Ukrainian army with 5-million USD assistance. It will include bullet proof vests, night vision equipment and the systems of communication. Оbama: international community should demonstrate their support  of the newly-elected Ukrainian President’s efforts. Оbama arrived in Brussels to the G7 summit. The main subject to be discussed is the situation in Ukraine. Меrkel: it is important indeed for Putin to make use of his influence to force separatists to refrain from violence and terrorizing, lay their arms and stop capturing administrative buildings. Van Rompuy: we are urging Russia to cooperate with the newly elected legitimate Ukrainian President and to make all effort to de-escalate the conflict. According to Van Rompuy, the EU will sign the association agreement with Ukraine not later than 27 June. Putin approved amendments to the law on Russian citizenship that provides for criminal liability for concealing double citizenship.

The following reactions were not reported. ‘Gazprom’ postponed the term of Ukraine’s transition to gas pre-payment for 10 June. Оbama threatens Russia with further isolation: ‘The time of empires is up’.

As for other events the channel informed of the following. In the backstage of the parliament, the introduction of martial law in eastern Ukraine was discussed. Refugees from Donbas are new residents at the Dnipropetrovsk mansion of Tsaryov. The last Euromaidan representatives left Kyiv City Administration building.

The following was not reported. Mufti of the Ukrainian Muslims is urging the world’s Muslims not to come to Ukraine with weapons. The Supreme Council of Justice set up a temporary special commission to check on the level of corruption among the judges of general jurisdiction courts. Ukraine requires Russia to cancel penalties for the underconsumption of gas. The Cabinet of Ministers is setting up the Council of inter-national consent. TheCabinet of Ministers approved the decision to restructure ‘Naftogaz’ into two companies. The Parliament took into consideration the 2013 budget fulfillment report – Azarov’s government allowed 65 billion UAH deficit. Ministry of social policy made a statement about the government’s full redemption of all social payoffs. Lviv Regional Council addressed the Prosecutor General’s Office demanding to prohibit the activities of the Communist Party of Ukraine on the Ukrainian territory.

5 June (Thursday):

As for the events in Donetsk region on this day the channel reported the following. On a video footage terrorist Bezler is likely to have shot down two captivated persons and is threatening to go on shooting down people. Armed terrorists are attacking ‘Marynivka’ checkpoint in Donetsk region from the side of Kuibyshevo and Shakhtarsk. The border guards at Marynivka checkpoint in Donetsk region received the support of Ukrainian aviation. ATO press service: the confrontation goes on in the village of Semenivna, nearby Kramatorsk, and in Amvrosiivka. Тymchuk: there are about 10 thousand terrorists in Donbas now. Тurchynov appointed officer Mateychenko temporary head of Krasniy Lyman Administration. In Krasniy Lyman terrorists are being searched for. The residents of Donetsk and Luhansk regions are trying to leave dangerous regions in large numbers. A Donetsk resident uploaded a video in the Internet where an APC with some gunmen is going through the city in the direction of Amvrosiyivka. Аvakov: in Slovyansk, all the ways of terrorists’ retreat are blocked. Тymchuk: several parts of the border are not protected in Luhansk region.

The following events were not mentioned. In Krasniy Lyman, ATO forces destroyed a stock of terrorist weapons. In Torez terrorists kidnapped a university teacher for his pro-Ukrainian beliefs. In Donetsk, a 52-year-old woman was kidnapped. In Donetsk, armed terrorists took away four cars from their local owners in one day – Ministry of Internal Affairs. Svyatohirsk is filled up with refugees from Slovyansk. Ukrzaliznytsya evacuated almost 500 orphan children from Luhansk, despite the terrorists’ attempts to block their transportation.

As for the events connected to the occupation of Crimea, the channel informed that the first students of Nakhimov naval college famous for singing the hymn of Ukraine in occupied Sebastopol  have left for Great Britain and France to start their studies there.

The channel did not mention that Taisiya Povaliy who left the Party of Regions a few days ago will perform at the celebration of the Days of Russia in Yalta.

As for the reactions of the Ukrainian authorities the channel informed about the following. State Border Service is asking for help in defending the Ukrainian border. State Border Service closed three checkpoints at the Russia border. Head of State Border Service: armed units are getting into Ukraine from the Russian territory on a regular basis. Pashinskiy: the introduction of the martial law state on ATO territory is reasonable. Тurchinov commented on the video of Bezler’s shooting: there will be negotiations with terrorists. Тurchinov: the political authorities of Russia are responsible for Bezler’s bloodshed as they go on supporting terrorists in eastern Ukraine providing them with weapons and amunition. Ukrzaliznytsia: despite the ATO, the number of trains was not reduced. Ukrzaliznytsia: because of the tense situation, trains do not pass through Kramatorsk, Slovyansk, and Krasniy Lyman.

The following was not mentioned. Мinistry of Defence says there is shortage of transportation means to evacuate the wounded from battle fields. SBU announced separatists Gubarev and Nikitin wanted. Мinistry of Foreign Affairs demands the Russian authorities to immediately set free Sentsov, a director of photography. SBU initiated a criminal lawsuit against former head of Ukraerorukh (air transportation agency) for state betrayal. Yanukovich’s ‘Family’ pay their recruits 2-3 thousand USD – advisor to Head of Ministry of Internal Affairs. Тurchinov commissioned lawmen to check the involvement of Yefremov, Party of the Regions member, in the prohibition for a National Guard aircarrier to land in Luhansk airport.

As for the foreign reactions the following was reported. G7 countries promised to help Ukraine with 18 billion USD. G7 had their first summit without Russia. G7 leaders resolution: Russia is to acknowledge the results of the Ukrainian elections, withdraw its forces from Ukrainian borders, stop the flow of weapons into the eastern parts of Ukraine, guarantee gas supplies. Otherwise, new sanctions will be introduced. Оbama: Russia should benefit from the opportunity to improve its relations with Ukraine. Rompuy: Ukraine has demonstrated restraint from the start of the crisis; it is their constitutional law to renew order. G7 Brussels summit resolution was assessed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia as an attack on the interests of Moscow. Lavrov met with the US Secretary of State Kerry and stated that Ukraine is to become a stable and peaceful country. In Normandy started celebrations to mark the 70th anniversary of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy.

The following reactions were not mentioned. The Russian ambassador Zurabov is returning to his job in Ukraine. Austria started a case against Azarov’s son for money laundering. Switzerland blocked 137 million EUR on Yanukovich’s and his companions’ accounts. China is ready to cooperate with the new Ukrainian president. «Reporters without boundaries» urge to protect Ukrainian journalists in the east of Ukraine and in occupied Crimea. Putin stated he is ready to meet with the winner of Ukrainian presidential elections.

As for other issues, the following was reported. The Parliament introduced amendments to the law on fighting terrorism – special forces are now entitled to exterminate illegal armed units, to get into captured building, set hostages free, and keep material evidence. MPs voted for setting up a special commission whose task is to analyse where the money collected for army needs was sent. Ukrainians died in a car accident in Poland. Klichko was sworn in as Kyiv City mayor. Psychologists who work in emergency service in Zaporizhya region are helping the families who temporarily left Donetsk and Slovyansk. Ministry of Justice: biometrical passport will be 40-50% cheaper than the current one.

The following was not reported. The Parliament did not support the governmental version of 2015 budget policy. Samooborona activists left the building of Kyiv City Administration.

6 June (Friday):

As for the events in Donetsk region the channel informed of the following on that day. Over Slovyansk, a Ukrainian air carrier was shot down by terrorists using a portable anti-aircraft facility – ATO forces. Seleznyov: the airplane was carrying humanitarian aid for the Ukrainian army and did not represent any threat.

The following was not reported. SBU captured four terrorists who were planning an attack on border guard division in Amvrosiyivka, Donetsk region. Seleznyov: in Kramatorsk, terrorists set up headquarters in the House of Baby Orphans. In Torez terrorists burnt down an MP office and ‘Gornyak’ newspaper editorial office. ‘Information opposition’ group experts said the terrorists’ footage of shooting down the captivated people was a staged one. Gunmen in Donbas are keeping 200 people in captivity – Тaruta. DNR terrorists captured a hospital in Donetsk. In Donetsk terrorists threatened a provider into switching off 5 Ukranian TV channels. Ukrainian tanks are storming Slovyansk. In Slovyansk terrorists have started mortar fire at ATO block posts, two soldiers are wounded, one killed. In Luhansk terrorists kidnapped a militia lieutenant  and captured a military unit. Luhansk terrorists set up a detachment entitled to shoot down ‘criminals’ on site.

As for the events in other regions the following was reported. 97 Luhansk children came to Odesa. All of them are pupils of orphan schools. Kirovohrad region has started to accept refugees from the east.

The following was not mentioned. SBU in Zakarpattya region detained the Russian ‘First Channel’ journalists who conducted spying operations as if they were Finnish. Kyivites are donating blood for the military wounded in ATO. In Kriviy Rih four subversives were detained who were to get 50 thousand USD for capturing a school building – Мinistry of Internal Affairs.

As for the events around Crimea it was not reported that the All-Ukrainian Church Council condemned the attack on a Kyiv patriarchate church in Perevalne and urged all the confessions to maintain peace.

As for the rеаctions of the Ukrainian authorities Poroshenko’s statement was made public that a representative of Russia is coming to Kyiv on 8 June to run negotiations on peaceful settlement of the events in the east.

The following was not reported. State Border Service closed 8 checkpoints at the Russian-Ukrainian border. Аvakov fired former Berkut officers for their refusal to go to ATO zone.

As for the foreign reactoins the following was mentioned. Poroshenko and Putin met in France where they went for the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy. At his meeting with Putin, Obama spoke about the importance of stopping violence and hostilities in the east of Ukraine soonest possible.

The following reactions were not reported. In France, Putin admitted ‘he might have some influence’ on separatists in Donbas. Merkel stated that Germany will support Poroshenko. Russia will not return Crimea to Ukraine as long as Putin is at the head of the state – Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Among  other issues the following were reported. At the Parliament Yatsenyuk reported on his 100 days in office. Lyashko chased a Russian journalist away from the parliament. Russian historian Zubov: in case Russia fails to fulfill the G7 terms, it will not be able to renew relations with Ukraine and Europe. Кlitchko: Kyiv City Administration building needs about 30 million UAH to be renovated. The Cabinet of Ministers car auction brought 1300 thousand UAH to the budget.

The following was not reported. From July state aid for the birth of the first child will grow 10 thousand UAH. The Cabinet of Ministers set up the State Fiscal Service which will cover the functions of tax, customs and financial militia authorities. Мaidan urged Poroshenko, Klichko, and Yatsenyuk to come to the people’s assembly on Sunday. NBU’s foreign exchange reserves grew a quarter in May. The Court renewed the case of Firtash’s ‘Ukrgasenergo’ company liquidation. The Prosecutor Office appealed the privatization of children’s recreation facility ‘Orbita’ in Kyiv. Firtash’s companies owe 6 billion UAH to Ukraine, we started litigations as for their redemption of the debt - Yatsenyuk. The Cabinet of Ministers expects 5% GDP fall this year.

7 June (Saturday):

As for the events in Donetsk region the following was reported. In Donetsk region terrorists captured Karlisvke water reserve and started draining the water into the river. Seleznyov: the fate of the two aircarrier pilots shot down over Slovyansk yesterday is still unknown. Slovyansk electricity network was damaged by mortars. The town is left without electricity – Donetskoblenergo. In Mariupol, Donetsk region terrorists shot down a border guard unit. State Border Service: in Luhansk region, terrorists issued an ultimatum to border guards at ‘Izvaryne’ checkpoint to lay arms and leave the checkpoint.

The following was not reported. Military machines from Russia are breaking into Ukraine – commander of Azov battalion. In Donetsk region terrorists kidnapped a village head. Terrorists promise to have Bezler tried by a military tribunal in case he indeed shot down the captured people. In the centre of Donetsk an assistant to the terrorist leader Pushilin was shot down as a result of internal conflict. Тhree border guards were wounded after a border guard detachment in Mariupol was shot down.

As for the events in other regions it was reported that Ukrainian performers came to the town of Izyum at the border of Kharkiv and Donetsk regions to conduct a concert for ATO fighters.

Among the reaction of Ukrainian authorities Taruta’s statement was reported that it is impossible to guarantee the President’s safety in Donetsk in the next two weeks.

The channel did not mention the following events and statements. Border guards accused the Ministry of Defence of not providing help in the battle with terrorists. The National Guard reports on detaining the Russian journalists of ‘Zvezda’ channel in ATO zone who were involved in spying. Мinistry of Foreign Affairs handed a new note to Russia stating numerous violations of border crossing procedure. Yanukovich robbed Donbas, and now is financing terrorists - Poroshenko. Poroshenko rejected the idea of federalization: Ukraine is to remain a unitary state.

As for the foreign reactions, the following was mentioned. Biden stated his support to Ukraine. German President: as earlier, Germany will assist in Ukraine’s advancement into the EU. Van Rompuy: the EU supports Ukraine and will act on its promises. NATO Secretary General: the NATO member states will always support Ukraine’s independence and integrity.

The channel did not mention that Putin threatened to reduce gas supplies to Europe in case reverse supplies into Ukraine are detected.

 Among other issues the following was reported. The families of the Ukrainian military who are now serving in the east picketed the Presidential Administration demanding soldiers be provided with clothes, shoes, and improved nourishment. In the centre of Kyiv a car exploded in the middle of the road. Militia detained a man suspected of killing the chief of a Poroshenko elections office in Nemirov rayon of Vinnytsia region. 140 hectares of forest burnt down in Tsuryupinsk lishosp in Kherson region. Poroshenko took the Presidential oath. Poroshenko urged Donbas to lay arms, promised amnesty and a corridor for Russian recruits. Poroshenko supports early local elections in Donbas and is against any negotiations with terrorists. Poroshenko promises free use of Russian in the east of Ukraine. Poroshenko stated as his priorities the strengthening of the army, state orders to Ukrainian military plants, and a new international agreement to replace the Budapest memorandum. Poroshenko emphasized that Crimea has been and will be Ukrainian. In his inauguration speech Poroshenko confirmed that the Parliament is to undergo early elections. Poroshenko hopes that the economic part of the EU agreement will be signed on 27 June. Poroshenko states as a priority the introduction of amendments to the Constitution which will empower local authorities with governmental rights. Poroshenko: the Ukrainian side is waiting for the Russian Federation’s cancelling the Duma’s decision to send Russian troops to the Ukrainian territory and closing the Russian border to stop supplying weapons and letting in terrorists.


The following events and statements were not reported. The President, parliament, and government will act as one entity - Yatsenyuk. In Mykolayiv region officials re-sold military rations received from the USA.
